WestEdge Design Fair returns to Barker Hangar October 24 – 27.  Featuring 175 domestic and international designers, it will showcase design offerings in  furniture, lighting, art, kitchen, bath.

Notable designers include Studio Ford, a textile brand that celebrates the timeless art of traditional Indian block printing and its modern evolution as the trade is passed down through generations.  Art Hide and Amigos de Hoy, a luxury cowhide leather brand that offers unique, customizable rugs will show its sister brand Amigos de Hoy’s new customizable line Ground Control. Looma Studios  will show its handmade, made to order artwork and furniture employing modern materials and fabrication techniques, alongside hand crafted glasswork. Timothy J. Ferrie will show floor lights that can become table lights and sconces that can become pendants;   clients can be completely involved in the design process. Lamps Plus will exhibit a selection of lighting and home furnishings.

Over 30 new exhibitors join this year’s roster, including Flavor Paper, Ricca Design, Matt Castilleja, Zahner, Baker Hesseldenz Studio, Porcelanosa, Smeg USA, Fantini USA, Effegibi.  

Familiar and anticipated show highlights include  Made:Modern, which features independent designers of limited edition furniture, lighting and other products for both residential and commercial sectors, is one of the fastest-growing areas of the fair.  Exhibitors this year include Amigo Modern, Beuno Glass, Flavor Paper, Fluxco Design, Joel Sayre, Lynne Meade Porcelain, whyrHymer, and Munson Furniture. The designers will be available for meet and greets to explain and answer questions about their craft and inspiration. Most items will be available for purchase and are customizable. 

Milk Stand Pop-Up, the on-site pop-up of contemporary items presented  by Design Milk will include home accessories as well as architecture-inspired jewelry available for cash purchase.

The Outdoor Lounge, one of the most popular areas of WestEdge, presented in partnership with The Wall Street Journal and sponsored by Living Spaces, will  offer guests a break from the show floor, with a chance to enjoy a cocktail while lounging in the stylish outdoor spaces in the mild autumn sun.

A Signature Kitchen Suite Culinary Pavillion by Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home will display the latest luxury appliances for today’s home chef and feature daily demonstrations and samplings by leading chefs and culinary personalities. Its programming includes bourbon and food pairing presented by Woodford Reserve and a day of Italian food and wine presented by the Italy America Chamber of Commerce. 

Convo By Design theatre and lounge will present educational panels, seminars, and talks by leading industry names on a variety of topics. 

An opening night preview party presented by Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home on Thursday, October 24 at 7pm will let guests shop the fair in advance while enjoying  cocktails, gourmet bites and entertainment. The evening will feature an auction to benefit A Sense of Home, whose mission is to prevent homelessness for youth aging out of foster care.
