The event will also honor Pier del Sol’s 2019 Honorary Chef Andreas Nieto of LA Prime. Andreas has been a third generation chef since the age of 14 and feels a special affinity for Special Olympics because his mother’s best friend had a child with intellectual disabilities with whom he grew up.
All event proceeds benefit local Special Olympics programs that for fifty years have provided free year-round sports training and competition for children as well as adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them become more independent, build self-esteem, and live healthier lives. The programs also inspire people to open their hearts and create more accepting and inclusive communities.
All Special Olympics programs are free to the athletes and their families. For more information and tickets, please visit www.sosc.org.
