Pier del Sol


Special Olympics’ will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of its annual fundraiser Pier del Sol with the theme ‘Cheers to 50’ on the Santa Monica Pier on October 14th. The event features a brunch along with an amusement park experience to benefit Special Olympics Southern California athletes.


Over 30 of L.A.’s top chefs and restaurants will be on hand serving samples of their signature dishes.  They include Angelini Osteria, The Baklava House, BJ’s Restaurants, Clementine, Dulan’s on Crenshaw Soul Food, El Cholo, Four Stars Private Cuisine, Hache LA, Normandie Restaurant, Kalie, Lunetta, Luze Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Mariasol, Melisse, Mon Cheri, Pinks Hot Dogs, Playa Provisons, Porta Via, Providence, Sprinkles, Tanino and Terroni, along with  beverages from Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.


There will also be a beer and wine garden, entertainment, music, arts & crafts, games, and unlimited rides. 

This year’s Honorary Chef is Pink’s Hot Dogs, which has  been a part of Pier del Sol for 17 of its 21 year history. This year’s Pier del Sol honoree is AEG and Chief Revenue Officer Todd Goldstein. 

Honorary co-chairs of the event are Maria Shriver and Bobby Shriver.
Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, and leadership programs.
