Live and Dine

Angeleno Magazine will host its annual Live & Dine LA event on Sunday July 28, 5:00 pm at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. It will be held al fresco, under the hotel’s iconic fig tree.


The popular event co-occurs with the magzine’s annual issue focusing on the culinary scene and honoring the city’s distinguished chefs and restaurateurs shaping L.A.’s culinary culture.

For its much anticipated ‘Ten Most Exciting New Restaurants’ list, the magazine has chosen: Auburn, Nightshade, Bavel, Firehouse, Hotel Figueroa, Alta Adams, Hippo, Fiona, Otono, and The Manufactory.

For its ‘Five Hot Trends’ the magazine took note of Plant Based Dining, Large Format Dishes, Combating Food Waste, High End Japanese, and Filipino Food Movement.


This year’s participating restaurants include many returnees: Alta Adams, The Bazaar by José Andrés, Calabra Chateau Hanare, Emporium Thai, FIG, Hippo, Malibu Beach Inn, Ocean Prime, Sari Sari Store, Viviane, The Waterfront, and more.


Award-winning chefs will lead culinary demonstrations, and the dishes will be paired with wines and artisanal cocktails. Luxury lounges will make for a romantic sunset evening.
