Latin Food Festival

Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, co-owners of Border Grill,  will be title chefs for LA’s annual Latin culinary extravaganza Latin Food Fest, which will celebrate its seventh annual run March 29-30 at Los Angeles State Historic Park. As title chefs, the `too hot tamales’ will conduct cooking demonstrations on the main stage, discuss Hispanic culinary trends, and sign copies of their latest book

Latin Food Fest,  California’s largest annual Latin culinary festival includes a high energy party  `Chefs Night Out’, and the signature ‘Gran Tasting Los Angeles’ featuring over fifty chefs cooking all foods Latin –  burritos, tacos, ceviches, enchiladas, moles, faijita, and pan dolces. Last year’s Chef of the Fest Ben Diaz will dish out Callo de Bacha Agua Chile with Limoncillo Caviar, Hibiscus Pedals that you can finish off with Oaxacan vanilla bean ice cream with toasted saltamonte.

Gran Tasting Los Angeles also includes an extensive tasting of Latin spirits with Agave Liquor, Bacanora, Cachaca, Fernet, Mezcal, Pisco, Pulque, Raicilla, Popo, Rum, Sotol, and Tequila. Wines from Argentina, Chile, Napa, and Spain will be poured and paired with a variety of Hispanic cuisine. Beer includes Tona Cerveza from Nicaragua, Estrella Damm from Spain, Sol from Mexico, local Latin favorite Chihuahua Cerveza.

Also featured will be cooking and wine demonstrations,  chef awards, and a four-hour music performance by La Junta Sound System. The event will be emceed by chef and media personality Sindy Lazo.

VIP tickets include early entry as well as entrance to a VIP tent with a meet and greet with the title chefs Mary and also offer  grilled lobster, Baja oysters, whole leg Spanish jamon, reserve Spanish cabernet, premium tequila, massages, gift bags, and beats by DJ Ty.
