AltaMed will host its 14th annual signature food and wine festival East LA Meets Napa at L.A. LIVE on Friday, July 26, 7pm. Over 2000 guests are expected.
With samples from over 70 top LA restaurants and vintners, the event celebrates the richness of Latin food in Los Angeles and the success of Latino-owned vineyards that stretch from Napa Valley, California to the vast wine regions of Argentina.
AltaMed’s food and wine fest continues on the next day on July 27, 7 pm with the 5th annual OC Meets Napa Food and Wine Festival at the historic landmark San Juan Capistrano mission. Along with wines from California and Mexico, this evening will focus on restaurants from Orange County and San Diego.
All proceeds from both events benefit AltaMed’s efforts to provide healthcare, dental care, senior services, HIV treatment and prevention, teen mentoring programs, and health education to families in Los Angeles and Orange County.
East LA Meets Napa is AltaMed’s biggest fundraising event. Founded in 1969 as a storefront East Los Angeles Barrio Free Clinic with a volunteer staff serving the uninsured and underinsured AltaMed has grown into the largest independent federally qualified health center in the U.S. with 46 sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
VIP tickets include a VIP reception from 6-7 pm and access to celebrity lounge. access are $300 each with a VIP reception from 6-7 p.m.
