Concern Foundation for Cancer Research will host its 45th annual block party on Saturday July 13, 6pm at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. The popular event, rated as one of Biz Bash’s Top Ten Events in Southern California, is expected to attract over 4,000 guests to the studio’s backlot streets.
With the theme California Dreaming, this year’s Block Party will honor Judy Carroll, Lexy & John Carroll with the Lifetime of Giving Award.
Over 75 food and beverage participating vendors include notable returning classics like Vibrato Grill Jazz, Ocean Prime, The Grill on the Alley, Fogo de Chao, Atmosphere Restaurant, Outdoor Grill, Gyu-Kaku, The Urban Oven, Oak Smoke BBQ, STK, and Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs, to name a few.
As it has for the last 15 years, Concern will celebrate the Best of LA 2019 on Los Angeles Magazine street with lounges, photo booths, and DJ dancing. The magazine will donate $25,000 each year to Concern.
Other highlights include spa services provided by the Beauty Bus Foundation. Silent and live auctions prizes include one-of-a-kind items like concert and other event tickets, staycations, golf packages, and restaurant gift cards.
Musical and other interactive entertainment will held on multiple stages throughout the venue. The evening Master of Ceremonies will be KNX1070 News radio’s Frank Mottek.
This year’s party is expected to exceed last year’s $1.8 million dollars raised for cancer research. Since inception 51 year Concern has awarded over $65 Million Dollars in salary support to well over 750 cancer researchers.
